This Island 7.5m RIB, coded to MCA Category 3 (r) under the new workboat code, was handed over on Sunday 21st April to her new owners Explore Islay. Departing Cowes by sea, the crew arrived in Conwy north Wales on Wednesday, having driven 596 miles around the southwest coast. The crew report that they were extremely impressed by the boat’s performance and handling in some very difficult conditions. We are told that a full report is being prepared! The RIB is destined for Islay, Inner Hebrides, where she will be operated as a charter vessel by Explore Islay.
