Documentation

Designed to be nimble, responsive and light on the helm whilst delivering the same outstanding sea-keeping capabilities for which Island RIBS are well known.

The slender bow, lightweight structure and sea-kind hull enable great performance from relatively low horsepower. Top speeds in excess of 40kts are achieved from 140hp, whilst maintaining excellent fuel economy of approx. 0.7L / mile at cruising speeds of 28-30kts. All Island 6.8m RIBs can be fitted with drive-by-wire engines, ensuring the control matches the impressive performance.

Built with full-height windscreen, walk around console and spacious bow locker, the Island 6.8m is available with a range of carefully designed and tested options, allowing the boat to be specified according to customer requirements.

Compact dimensions and light weight mean that the Island 6.8m is easy to tow, launch and recover, making this model the ideal choice for those seeking a high-performance yet practical, economical and seaworthy RIB that is easy to transport and maintain.
