The Island 7.5m was the platform of choice for VR Spot.TV last weekend as they took to the waters off the Isle of Wight to film all of the action in this year’s Round The Island Race. We kept up with the leader, MOD 70 Concise 10, all the way to the needles as she hit speeds well in excess of 30 knots. At The Needles we left her to continue her record-breaking passage around the island and headed back through the fleet to film her cross the finish line. The crew got some fantastic footage :
